Situational Dialogue 2

CustomerI want to go to Winchester. How can I get there?
ClerkYou can go by bus. There's a bus every 20 minutes.
CustomerCan I go by train?
ClerkYes, it's faster by train. There are three trains to Winchester every hour.
 
HarryHello, Jim.
JimYes?
HarryIt's Harry. I'm at the airport.
JimSorry, I can't meet you. You can get to my house by taxi.
HarryAll right. I' 11 take a taxi.

Situational Dialogue 3

WomanExcuse me. Can you help me?
ManYes.
WomanCan you tell me the way to Burton Road, please?
ManDrive along this street for about a kilometre. Then turn left into Cedar Avenue and Burton Road is 200 metres on the right.
WomanThank you very much. We go along here for about a kilometre. Then we turn left into Cedar Avenue, and after 200 metres we get to Burton Road, on the right.
 
WomanExcuse me. Is Burton Road near here?
ManYes, it's very near, but you're going the wrong way. You'll have to turn round and go back that way. Take the first turning on the right, then the second left.
WomanThank you.
 
ManHow do we get to the Olding Cinema?
WomanIt's not for from here. It's first on the right in Weldon Street. But we have to turn left at the end of this road. Look at the sign.
